          Join us poolside for a spectacular evening at our Ala Kine Taco Bar featuring El Tequileño Tequila! Antonio “Tony” Salles, a third-generation master distiller, will be on property to share his expertise and passion for tequila. Enjoy sampling a variety of El Tequileño tequilas and cocktails while savoring Chef Ben’s taco creations of the day. In fall 2024, Kukui’ula will be introducing our own labeled El Tequileño Tequila, and Tony will extend an exclusive invitation to our members and attendees for a trip to Tequila, Mexico. Experience the hospitality of the El Tequileño Hotel and partake in a private tour and a day of distilling our own private-label tequila. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to indulge in world-class flavors and embark on an unforgettable adventure!

In this classroom-style event, participants will explore the fascinating world of sparkling wines and champagnes. Learn about the intricate processes behind their creation and taste the differences alongside a true expert.

The evening’s culinary experience will feature global food stations, from the sun-kissed flavors of Spain to the vibrant flavors of Italy by guest chef Giancarla Bodoni, offering a tantalizing journey for the palate.

                        Embracing the Western spirit, our Grand Event pays homage to Hawaiʻi’s Paniolo heritage, infusing every aspect of the event with a touch of rustic charm and cowboy flair. Dust off your boots, grab your hat, and join us for an unforgettable evening under the starry Kauaian sky.

                            Chris Ramelb, Master Sommelier

                            “Chris Ramelb, MS a native son of Kaua’I earned a Computer Science degree at University of Hawaii-Manoa and started his wine career as a business analyst at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. He has twice since represented Hawaii at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs National Young Somm competition and earned the coveted Johnston Medal in 2016, achieving the highest score for all Advanced Sommelier examinations in the world. After stints at two legendary Honolulu based restaurants: Vino Italian Tapas and Alan Wong’s, he took the post of opening Wine Director at Senia, where he helped earn the restaurant a James Beard nomination for “Best New Restaurant” and a spot in Wine Enthusiast’s 2017 “America’s Top 100 Wine Restaurants”. He rejoined Southern Glazer’s as the Restaurant Sales Manager and Director of Wine Education in 2018, the same year he passed the Master Sommelier examination (1 of only 4 in Hawaii).”
