Nā Mea Hawaiʻi, All Things Hawaiʻi Make + Take: Pua Hulu (Feather Flowers)

September 1 • 9:00 am - 10:30 am

The art of feather-working has a long, cultural history in Hawaiʻi. Hawaiians created feathered cloaks, capes, helmets, images, and standards for the aliʻi (royals). The process of their creation and their uses were considered intentional and sacred.

Kumu (instructor) Robin Goss hails from a lineage of esteemed hulu (feather) masters.  Join her for this fun introductory Hawaiian feather project making pua hulu or feather flowers.  They are stunning and you will find endless ways to enjoy your hulu creation for years to come!
