Nā Mea Hawaiʻi, All Things Hawaiʻi: All Things Hulu, Feather Crafting Class

October 13 • 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Intermediate/Advanced Feather Crafting Classes with instructor Robin Goss

The art of feather-working has a long, cultural history in Hawaiʻi. Hawaiians created feathered cloaks, capes, helmets, images, and standards for the aliʻi (royals). The process of their creation and their uses were considered sacred.

We are blessed to have Kumu (Instructor) Robin Goss sharing these traditions with us. We are also proud of our members who gather with her twice a month to perpetuate the traditions of feather work!

Join Kumu Robin and our hulu enthusiasts at the Plantation House with your current hulu project and work together towards completion.

Completion of “Pua Hulu” or “Feather Flower” (offered on the first and third Tuesdays of each month) is required before beginning your journey to intermediate feather crafting. Please contact our Island Hosts for more information and to enroll. There is a fee for your kit.
