The Upcountry Farm has something for every taste. There are veritable forests of exotic flowers, the fabled Story Tree and fishing lake, and the fruits, vegetables and herbs of all sorts. Members are welcome to come harvest whatever they wish. It’s easy: you just need a sharp pair of scissors or a pruning instrument and a few tips from crop-meister Cindy Cardenas, foreperson at the farm. For Cindy, the farm is both productive and aesthetic – the plantings are both produce and landscaping. There’s a right way and a wrong way to harvest, but it’s easy to do it right, keep the plant healthy and productive and also have a great dish for dinner. Come to the farm for two minutes with Cindy.
